1. What you are throwing away. “Kitchen gut, cabinets and drywall” tells us more than “renovation debris”. Heavy material like concrete, block, brick or footing spoil changes the answer completely, and so does a roof — a hail tear-off is counted in squares and layers rather than roof area, and it reaches lawful weight in a smaller box than most people expect.
