Service area

Where we deliver across Larimer and Weld counties

Daily runs from the yard on the Kelim frontage road. Every area below has its own page with local placement notes, landmarks, driving routes and permit guidance — and because five of the towns we serve straddle a county line, three more are unincorporated ground with no town permit desk at all, and neither Weld nor Larimer County collects residential waste, those jurisdictional answers genuinely differ.

Not on the list? We often go further than the areas shown, especially for multi-container jobs and contractor accounts. Call (970) 427-0341 and ask — if we cannot get to you we will usually know who can.

Service Questions

Which service do I need if I am just cleaning out a house?

For a house full of furniture, boxes and general household junk, that is junk removal or estate cleanout depending on the circumstances — both use the same containers, usually a 20 or 30 yard. Count the basement and the garage before you decide, because with a 30-inch frost line published in both counties basements are ordinary here, and that is where twenty or thirty years of storage actually lives. Both mean carrying material up or across before it reaches the box, which is the argument for setting it near the walkout rather than at the road. If you are also pulling out cabinets, flooring or tile, mention it, because that changes the weight.

Can I put more than one type of debris in the same container?

Usually yes. General mixed household and renovation debris travels together fine. The exceptions here are about weight and routing rather than about a statute. Heavy inert material — concrete, block, brick, rock, cured asphalt, dirt and footing spoil — wants a dedicated heavy can, because it reaches lawful transport weight while the box still looks half empty and because a clean load of it has a route a mixed one does not. Roofing is the same story: a hail tear-off is a weight load, it goes in a 15 or a 20, and it never goes in a 30 or a 40. Brush and green waste we keep separate too — and here is the reversal worth knowing, because it catches people who have rented containers in the Southeast: Colorado has no statewide yard-waste landfill ban, and the landfills serving this corridor publish yard waste and tree branches among accepted materials. We separate it because composting is close and cheaper, not because the law requires it. Electronics come out of every load without discussion, because C.R.S. § 25-17-303 has banned them from Colorado landfills since 1 July 2013.

Do you do swap-outs on longer jobs?

Yes. On construction, demolition and large cleanout jobs we will pull a full container and drop an empty one, usually next day and often same day if you call early. Contractors on standing accounts get priority.

Do you offer commercial and contractor accounts?

We do. Standing accounts get priority scheduling, consolidated invoicing and negotiated rates on volume. Property managers, GCs, roofers and restoration companies make up a good share of our work. Call and ask for account setup.

Helpful Local Resources

Useful official sources for permits, disposal rules and recycling in Kelim and Larimer County. We keep these handy because half the questions we get are really questions for one of these offices.

  • Town of JohnstownRefuse collection by contract, the right-of-way permit desk, and the town that sits in two counties at once.
  • Johnstown Municipal Code§ 7-35 on dumpsters, § 7-61 on town refuse collection and § 11-23 on work in the public right-of-way.
  • Weld CountyNo residential collection at all — household hazardous waste sites, the seasonal disposal voucher, and right-of-way permits.
  • Larimer CountyThe county Kelim is actually in — the Central Diversion and Transfer Station, engineering permits and adopted building codes.
  • Front Range Fire RescueThe fire district covering Johnstown and Milliken. Weld County enforces no fire code of its own, and on the Larimer side we did not establish the county’s position — either way the district is the desk to ask about container placement.
